Short portrait Under the name "Handmaids Berlin" they work as an
international independent company. It was founded in 2009 by Sabine Mittelhammer, Astrid Kjaer
Jensen and Ulrike Langenbein. They are freelance
puppeteers and have met during their studies at the "Hochschule für
Ernst Busch" in Berlin. Under the name "Handmaids" they work as an international freelance company and live in Berlin
and Copenhagen. Their productions can be seen at European festivals.
The production "Räuber Hotzenplotz," performed by Sabine Mittelhammer, was
2014 nominated for the Theatre award IKARUS.
