Puppet and puppet Theatre | acting

Short portrait The Artisanen are professional, freelance puppeteers from Berlin who have been working together since their studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. The team consists of Stefan Spitzer (acting, puppet construction, stage design, direction) and Inga Schmidt (acting, music, direction, puppet construction). In their productions, the Artisanen expand the ensemble in order to constantly follow new artistic impulses. Forms of object and material Theatre as well as elements from acting and performance, visual arts and music are used to develop their own forms of Theatre. The Artisanen see themselves as a very precise and profoundly working group, whose productions give innovative, young, fresh material its very own view of the world. The Artisanen are guests at national and international festivals. Their play "Anne Frank", for young people aged 13 and over, was nominated for the Berlin Theatre Prize IKARUS in 2019. This was followed in 2024 by a nomination for the IKARUS for the production "Ohne dich, das geht doch nicht".
