Brief portrait With its productions and festivals, the "Theatre an der Parkaue - Junges StaatsTheatre Berlin" is a permanent fixture on the national and international children's and youth Theatre scene. Myths from days gone by, fairy tales that everyone knows, freshly written and translated texts, well-known plays and classics from 2000 years of literature are on the Theatre's program in contemporary aesthetics. With the aim of opening up Theatre to the reality of life, the opinions and interests of children and young people, the "Theatre an der Parkaue" seeks exchange beyond national and political borders. With international festivals and guest performances, the "Theatre an der Parkaue" regularly presents dance and Theatre from other cultures and language areas. Productions by the "Theatre an der Parkaue" have been nominated several times for the Berlin Theatre Prize IKARUS. The production "Radau!" won the IKARUS in 2011 and the production "Unterscheidet euch! A parlor game" won the IKARUS in 2019.
